Hypnosis is a completely natural state of focused concentration in which you are more open and responsive to suggestions.  It is very similar to daydreaming.  All of us experience hypnosis every day.  Have you ever been totally involved in a movie, a book or a bike ride and lose track of time?


During our sessions, typically, you will feel very relaxed and your mind will be very focused.  Your subconscious mind is more receptive to positive beneficial suggestions and therapeutic work.


Studies using MRI technology have confirmed that when deeply hypnotized, the brain cannot tell the difference between what is real and what is imagined (it lights up the exact same way if you imagine the colour red as if you actually see the colour red, for example).  This may be why hypnosis has the potential to have such a powerful, long lasting and healing effect.  We experience whatever we are imagining as if it is real.  The mind is very powerful and we are only beginning to understand it.


Even Hollywood stars have caught on to Hypnosis.  Ben Affleck and Matt Damon both have stated that they used Hypnosis to quit smoking.  Others such as Mozart and Henry Ford used it as well.
